Listen to Rahel Senn's brandnew single: Jeux Interdits.
Pianist and composer Rahel Senn was born in Zurich in 1986. She grew up speaking four languages, moving between various countries with her parents – a Swiss and a Singaporean.
"’Home is where the heart is’ the famous saying says. For me this place has always been at the piano playing music," Rahel Senn explains. Already as a child she has won several piano playing competitions. In 2012 she has been the first Swiss female pianist to become Young Steinway Artist. A great role model for the classically trained concert pianist is the 80s pop-classic pianist Richard Clayderman (famous for his hit song “Ballade pour Adeline”). Next to Clayderman, Yiruma and Ludovico Einaudi are Rahel's heroes from whom she draws inspiration for her own style. She wants to reach peoples’ hearts with positive, uplifting melodies and dreamy, self-contained piano miniatures. Rahel Senn regularly plays concerts in Europe and Asia.
